PlayStation coming to a PC near you?

Flying in the face of everything consoles have done in the past, Sony last week released a software development kit that in essence opened the door for some its games to appear on "certified" third-party devices. You know, backtracking a bit on the whole "only on consoles" thing.
At the moment, the only certified devices include Sony's own smartphones and tablets. But since not many people buy those, it's likely that PlayStation Suite could come to a variety of devices, including non-Sony smartphones and even PCs (which already play "Sony Online" games).
Obviously, Sony will continue releasing games that are only avaialble on whatever device they're trying to sell. But the move also shows that Sony is starting to view the PlayStation brand as more of a software platform now, rather than just hardware, and thereby are more willing to get that brand on as many devices as possible.
