Bejeweled is "world's #1 puzzle game" for a reason

Your rig won't break a sweat playing it. It's hardly a showcase game. But Bejeweled 3, out this week, will keep you clicking for hours -- longer if you have free time.

The entire game is polished to a sheen. The butterfly mini-game and Zen mode are a breath of fresh air. And the Classic mode is truly bigger and better than before; what with its Unreal Tournament-like announcer, explosions, instant replay, encouraging soundtrack, and slick level transitions.

What a freakin' time suck. If you're one of three people still on the fence about Bejewled, you can download a free 60-minute time trail from PopCap. But as Tom Senior from PC Gamers notes, "The hour long trial is about 59 minutes more than is needed to get completely hooked on the game."

I'm in total agreement. What else would you expect from the creators of Plants vs. Zombies and Peggle?
