YouTube + gaming = epic win

Admit it: Gaming's gotten better thanks to YouTube. Search your favorite games. Check out gameplay footage that trailers are often reluctant to show. The video site lets you experience games in short bursts when you're unable to play.
Not only that, but gaming's gotten bigger, thanks to YouTube, reports the LA Times. "The online video platform has become a key place not just to market games, but also to acquire new audiences and tap into a game-obsessed fan base who themselves generate millions of homegrown videos touting their beloved hobby," the paper writes.
Case in point: Uploaded videos by EA, IGN, and others have exploded in viewership by as much as 90% in the last three years. And it's not just the usual suspects watching. "We found that it's a separate audience,” Ho said. "And it's a much bigger audience."
