Blizzard, EA dominate retail PC games in July

Selling nearly 750k copies last month, StarCraft II was the best selling game last month of any system—by far. And if that wasn't enough for Blizzard's golden coffers, several World of Warcraft editions continued to pepper the top 20 retail list, released today by NPD. (EA had a good month too, thanks to strong sales of Sims, Bad Company 2, and Dragon Age).

Excluding downloaded games, which represent nearly half of all PC gaming sales, these were the best-selling retail games for PC in July:

  1. PC Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty
  2. Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty Collector's Ed
  3. The Sims 3
  4. The Sims 3: Ambitions Expansion Pack
  5. PC Nancy Drew: Trail of the Twister
  6. World Of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King
  7. World Of Warcraft
  8. Starcraft: Battle Chest
  9. The Sims 2 Double Deluxe
  10. World Of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Expansion
  11. World Of Warcraft: Battle Chest
  12. The Sims 3: High-End Loft Stuff
  13. The Sims 3: World Adventures
  14. Battlefield: Bad Company 2
  15. Dragon Age: Origins
  16. Fallout Trilogy
  17. Empire: Total War
  18. Diablo Battle Chest
  19. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
  20. Plants vs Zombies

Battle Chess is kind of a big deal, eh? In any case, nice to see Plants vs Zombies on the list. Go, plants!

I'm working in a essays online, I'm 27yr old now and I've been enjoying since The Sims released. I don't perform nearly as much as I used to returning then, but I love enjoying it because I experience like it gives me more freedom than any other activity. If I don't like the space, I can affect down a walls or modify the furnishings. If I want a gay relationship, I can do that. Also, it's a awesome modify from the gore that's in most other activities. Sometimes you just want to be in a usually happy world.
