I check Metascore once every few months in search of games I might have missed. It's helpful for keeping tabs on what's scoring well with both critics and users alike.
Granted, I've played high scoring Metacritic games I didn't like. And I've played low-scoring ones that I felt should be higher (go figure, likes and dislikes are subjective). But overall, I'd argue that Metacritic is a good filter or sorting tool to help you find new games.
When I check today, I was impressed by the number of high scoring PC games. So you know, usually when I check, there are 5-10 "green" games, followed by lots of yellow and red ones.
Today? Check out all that green below. Then let me know if there's any you weren't aware of previously but might like to play.
