Learn everything you need to know about next-generation PC graphics

July 12th, 2010

I don't really know what all this technical mumbo jumbo really means (Note: I quit speaking fluent geek after learning that my computer science future was futile.) But I know it looks awesome, and it’s coming to a PC game near you via DirectX 11.

"Just when you think you’ve grasped all the jargon surrounding 3D graphics, new terms and technologies flood onto the market," writes Maximum PC's Loyd Case. Tessellation, anyone?

In any case, "If you have one of the new generation of DirectX 11 cards," Loyd concludes, "turn up the eye candy and experiment. Your games can look (and perform) better than ever."

Indeed.

Awesome, and predominantly PC lead.

That example image with tessellation is almost mindblowing.

This looks amazing, now if only more games would support DX 11

Ability is nothing without opportunity.
