Motion controls coming to a PC game near you
January 10th, 2011
In addition to new gaming chips for the masses, motion-controlled PC gaming was another theme of last week's Consumer Electronics Show.
When asked if or when Kinect would make its way to PC, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer replied, "We'll support that in a formal way at the right time, and when we have an announcement to make we'll make it." In other words, it's a matter of when not if.
Microsoft wasn't the only gaming company teasing motion-controlled PC games at CES, however. Razer and others showed off new movement controllers, as did another small startup, reports Venture Beat (with video).
In a post-Wii world, what do you think of motion-controlled PC games? Think it's another fun way to play, or will they have to pry the mouse and keyboard from your cold, dead hands?

Agreed.
I beta tested Kinect, and because of this I was allowed to keep the unit after the release. I do like it, it's a pretty powerful tool, but I don't like motion gaming very much and I end up only using it for Last.fm and Zune.

But seriously the technology looks cool, but I've played with a few of them out their for consoles and they are pretty neat. as for PC... that'll be a tough one to get me out of chair and have enough room to play effectively.
