Poll: Is your gaming PC your primary computer?

Adrian Kingsley-Hughes of ZDnet is the latest columnits attempting to make PC pricing and console pricing an apples to apples comparison. 

It's not.

Hughes might have a point if PC gamers only used their PCs for gaming. But even then, there are strengths of PCs (precise controls, cheaper games, better graphics, larger community of players, exclusive games, indie games, free multiplayer, more choice, mods, etc) that consoles can't match.

Yes, excluding more expensive games and pay-to-play multiplayer, lower hardware costs are a strength of consoles. Less so, however, if you happen to use your gaming rig to... ya know, compute on in addition to game on. 

Let's put it to the test then:

It would be inconvenient to have both a gaming laptop and an all purpose laptop. It's probably best to make your gaming PC your primary.

I have a PC (desktop) specifically for gaming and a pc (laptop) specifically for work, this way I don't get demotivated from doing my internship/work when I see I could be playing video games instead.

Anything worth having is worth working hard for.

I don't quite understand your comment, but if what I think you're trying to say is that I should use a laptop for everything, then yes. That's very fair but I am me and I'm a difficult person to deal with. When I say that it has to be true! :P
