One of my favorite games of 2009 was Trine, a gorgeous platforming puzzle game that's well told, magically scored, and set in a playful fantasy world. Admittedly, the gameplay was a bit clunky at times, but this really is a title that's as fun to watch and listen to as it is to interact with.
The good news for you and I: The sequel launched yesterday and it's a classic case of bigger, better, and more beautiful. You still control a wizard, archer, and a knight. Only this time, there's new terrain and puzzles to explore, plus there's online multiplayer and local co-op (!).
What's more, Trine 2 can even serve as a showpiece for your new rig (seriously). Not bad for a game that only costs $15 bucks. Enjoy it, gamers. This is a good one.
