Two obscure PC games you should be playing
September 8th, 2010
Looking for something new to play on your PC, but don't want to spend much money (and by "much" I mean zero)? Here are a couple of freeware games you might have missed recently:
Think of it as a first-person Lego set. You can build and dork around with the physics. Co-op with friends. Or try single player "survival" mode for when things go bump in the night. The wealth of options and lack of handholding may seem daunting at first. But this is a great game that keeps on giving. (The unlimited more popular version costs $10, however.)
This one's a little old. Okay, really old at five years since its debut. But I just stumbled upon it for the first time this year. So if I can overlook it, you can too. Which is why you should give it a look if you haven't already. The gist: a total conversion of the beloved GoldenEye 007 in lovely HD (powered by Valve's Source engine). It controls like you would expect it to. And it's awesome.
Any other obscure PC games worth playing?
