Sydney was the stage and Call of Duty was the competition, gamers from all over Australia converged to play out the live event finals Alienware Clan Challenge 2010. The competition didn’t disappoint the stage was set for a huge huge event finals where we had Frenetic Array who had powered through the event so far facing off against Archaic eSports. It was going to be a big ask for Archaic as they lost quite convincingly to Frenetic Array in the earlier round and having to win 2 maps without a single loss was not going to be a small feat. The match went into OVERTIME! at 12 rounds a piece the teams readied up and went to it again but Frenetic Array were on a roll and couldnt be stopped clinching the title in overtime and being crowned the Australian Clan Challenge 2010 champions.

Our Champions:

Frenetic Array
Captain Paul "ampzz" McDonald
Josh "JOSH" Mikus
Peter "Sh0wie" McCunnie
Micah "Prawneh" Beaumont
Chris "stacee" Stacey

Our Runners Up:

Archaic eSports
Captain Jordan "Sensuki" Healey
Mohammad "TheOne" Abbasi
Nick "nick" Hibberd
Aaron "A.P" Patel
Josh "Millah" Miller

Frenetic Array will each take home one of the incredible Alienware Aurora desktops and gear and we would like to thank all of the participants and finalists for making this event a memorable one.

On Behalf of Frenetic Array, I would like to thank Alienware for allowing us to have the opportunity to participate and compete in this fantastic event. The organisation and delivery of this competition was unrivalled and we were taken aback by the remarkable facilities Alienware had laid out for us to compete on. From the conclusion of the online ladder, through to being flown down to Sydney and back home, the event was run very smoothly and professionally by the friendly and supportive Alienware staff.

The opportunity to play on the brand new Alienware Aurora Desktop's was an experience in itself with one of our members describing them as "dreamlike", the computer was very fast and reliable. Coupled with the Alienware OptX 120HZ screen the responsiveness was very smooth. It is very well suited for gamers and enthusiasts alike with its great out of the box setup.

The experiences gained from competing in the event was also unmatched, the ability to finally match people to their online aliases was rewarding and something we will not soon forget. We would also like to all of the teams that were represented at the event as it would not have been possible to have a successful competition without these players.

If future events like this were to be held, we would love to take any opportunity to participate and compete in those events. It was an unforgettable experience for our team and we're sure all of the other teams who were there would have to agree.
