Alienware Arena hosts the Bigfoot Killer Edge Challenge, sponsored by Bigfoot Networks™. The tournament is the latest in the ongoing Alienware Arena series presented by Alienware®, Dell’s premier, high-performance PC gaming brand representing premium power and performance for gamers and technology enthusiasts alike.

The Bigfoot Killer Edge Challenge will feature the PC version of Team Fortress 2, the critically acclaimed first-person shooter. Gamers will form teams and compete online from across the United States and Canada, starting November 23rd.

Teams with the sharpest game play tactics will advance through two phases of double-elimination brackets, leading up to the Championships on Saturday, January 23rd. In addition to their share of the $1,500 cash prize pool, the Champions will win a set of Killer Xeno Pro Gaming Network Cards.

“Online gaming is one of the fastest growing segments of the entire entertainment industry,” said Michael Howse, CEO of Bigfoot Networks. “And competitive online gaming is at the bleeding edge of this phenomenon. Bigfoot Networks hopes that more events like these will pave the way for the growth of professional gaming leagues here in the United States, now that pro gaming is so popular in the rest of the world.”

Registration for the Bigfoot Killer Edge Challenge is free and open now at www.alienwarearena.com/event/killeredge. Teams will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis while slots remain available.

Can anyone elaborate on what maps are going to be played? I'm not asking for sepcific maps, but different game types do matter quite a bit when building teams.

tl;dr Is this an arena, CTF, KOTH, CP or PL?or some type I have forgotten?

Once the event starts, you'll be able to setup and report matches through the site. Just make sure you have the Match Network Client downloaded.

All the event specifics, including the maps and schedule, are on the micro-site at

Everyone -

A quick update: we've pushed the whole schedule back a full week so as not to conflict with Thanksgiving week. Hopefully this will help ensure you don't have any problems scheduling your matches.

Thanks... =D But what if the Opposing team does not want to or cant? And When are the brackets going to be posted? Dieing to see them =P And... (Yeah i know "OMG SHUT UP"...) ...Are the servers going to be password protected so that nobody but the competitors can join? Just curious... Will the servers provide the downloads for the maps when you join, So we don't have to do it? (in case some people don't know how to do it on their own... *Cough*)

God of Failure,

a. You need to negotiate a time with your opponents to play.

b. Brackets will be posted once registration has closed.

c. Servers are password protected, yes. Our servers are pre-configured with everything that's needed.

--

BundD,

a. Yes, you can have more than 6 players on your team roster. There is no roster limit.

b. We prefer if you use your own servers, however we have a few of our own that you can request just before match time.
