Alienware Arena hosts the Bigfoot Killer Edge Challenge, sponsored by Bigfoot Networks™. The tournament is the latest in the ongoing Alienware Arena series presented by Alienware®, Dell’s premier, high-performance PC gaming brand representing premium power and performance for gamers and technology enthusiasts alike.
The Bigfoot Killer Edge Challenge will feature the PC version of Team Fortress 2, the critically acclaimed first-person shooter. Gamers will form teams and compete online from across the United States and Canada, starting November 23rd.
Teams with the sharpest game play tactics will advance through two phases of double-elimination brackets, leading up to the Championships on Saturday, January 23rd. In addition to their share of the $1,500 cash prize pool, the Champions will win a set of Killer Xeno Pro Gaming Network Cards.
“Online gaming is one of the fastest growing segments of the entire entertainment industry,” said Michael Howse, CEO of Bigfoot Networks. “And competitive online gaming is at the bleeding edge of this phenomenon. Bigfoot Networks hopes that more events like these will pave the way for the growth of professional gaming leagues here in the United States, now that pro gaming is so popular in the rest of the world.”
Registration for the Bigfoot Killer Edge Challenge is free and open now at www.alienwarearena.com/event/killeredge. Teams will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis while slots remain available.

I love how organized this is, Thanks for the help.
Last thing, Are you For-sure in the Tournament if your group is set to "Ready"?
Thanks again...
BundD,
a. If you have a server to use, it has to be dedicated.
b. Our servers are free for you to use. If you need one, please come to Ventrilo support about 20-30 minutes before your match time.
c. Captain has the ability to kick players from the roster. The A-Captain has the ability to schedule, but not kick members, and is considered the primary contact if the Captain if absent.
----
God of Failure,
Yes if your team is set to 'ready' then you will have a slot in the tournament.
when will the 'Alienware Arena Control Panel' be enabled?
and the control panel has a 'scheduling feature' once its enabled?
also how can I contact team members on this site, how do i find out their account page? (http://www.alienwarearena.com/member/186730/)
thanx
BundD,
The control panel is active now and comes up with you login to the site.
Once registration closes and matches are assigned, you'll see options in there to get in contact with your opponents and set match times.
Wait... How are we going to be able to play during the weekend prior to the deadline if the brackets don't come out until Sunday and the deadline is on Thursday? (Can't play during week.) Or how will you otherwise know who your opponets are and when? in case i'm just getting facts wrong.
God of Failure,
For the opening Thursday match, you'll have Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to schedule and play it.
If you can't play during the week, you won't be able to participate in this event because there are matches due each Monday and Thursday.
So, that means i cannot Participate in just this Thursday's one? You told me earlier that you could schedule the game for the weekend prior to the deadline if the other team accepted...
Sorry, I didn't realize you were referring to a Thursday match.
Each week there is a match scheduled on Friday that is due by Monday, and another match is scheduled by Tuesday and due by Thursday.
For the Monday ones, if both teams agree you can certainly play over the weekend. But there isn't a way to play the Thursday ones on the weekend.
You may want one or more backup players on your roster so that your team is flexible enough.
Well, thanks for letting me know i can play at least one a week before i dropped out... ^.^ This is gonna be awesome.
Team registration is now closed. Players can still join existing ready rosters though.
Schedules will be up by tonight for the opening match, due to play by Thursday.
Are scripts allowed in the matches?
