StarCraft II
Is this game exceptional?
I don't usually like RTS games. Mostly because I suck at them. But I've heard this game is good and I've recently come into my brother's copy somehow. If I'm not good at RTS would I still enjoy this? Or is it complicated and not to be taken lightly?
Actually if you're not good at RTS, you could still play the custom games. Such as TDs, MOBA, RPGs, etc... oh yeah tug o war styles like desert strike and nexus wars lol. or zealot frenzy. squadron td is really fun though. mafia is cool too. alot of games are fun ahhhh i could just go on and on. Why not try the downloadable demo?

your lucky they have leagues so it will set you against people more or less your skill level. but it can get super complicated and hardcore
I think, as a pure "newbie" in RTS, you can still have fun in Bronze league and progress step by step :)
It's not like a FPS game where you fight people that are wayyyy over your level of play, the league system match you versus player of the same rank
I'm still a noob too, but i have fun trying new tactics everytime :D

in my opinion is an exceptional game
I think Starcraft 2 caters to a wide variety of gamers, with the campaign, the challenges, the different "levels" of multiplayer (i.e leagues) and the custom maps everyone can enjoy playing it.
Myself I only played Starcraft 1 a little bit with friends and we usually used cheats to beat the computer, now I'm in Diamond league even though I haven't played in a while. The league system is set up really nice so that you will always face similarly skilled players.
Give it a try!

Yes and Yes
This game is as good at it gets. But to be competitive online it takes time and practice.
however regardless of your skill you can and will REALLY enjoy the solo campaign. It is worth playing regardless of your RTS experience.
I'm not creative, so this is what I came up with...

I believe so, even if you're not good at RTS, there are PLENTY of replays/casters out there you can take some notes from. Day 9 has plenty of walk throughs you can practice with and the custom map editor provides a variety of other games.
The basics of the game are pretty simple rock-paper-scissors type gameplay, but as you progress in the ladders it gets much more complicated. If nothing else, I'd say the game is worth it for the campaign, and custom games alone.
Very exceptional my friend.

I would wait to see if Blizzard does another half price sale. The single play was awesome.
I wouldnt say its complicated, but It does have a learning curve, you need to get used to the way the economy and military works, but it's not hard to understand. Where the real plays come in are unit composition and micromanagement, but you can have fun with the game regardless of having those skills.
As you play new genres of games, you aren't the best. Ofcourse it takes practise to become better but I think you really should try starcraft 2. It will be a little complicated in the beginning but as u learn more about the game, the more u can do and make your games more advanced and build up tactis. Even if you aren't looking to be serious in starcraft you should try it out anyways. It's a really awesome game and it brings great enjoyment.
no, its fantabulous
