Skyrim Playing Advice Please?
Page 1 of 2 1 2
I just need some tips to get my enjoyment out of the game. Yes this sound really weird, but I love playing Skyrim and have things that are keeping me from getting my full enjoyment.
Well I'm an archer but I feel like I'v got almost the best stuff and wonder if it's worth doing more quests and stuff to get better gear. (I have the nightingale bow and guild's master armor). I've been thinking about starting to raising one-handed weapons and blocking so I focus on getting warrior gear and stuff so that there's still a point on doing quest. (I almost have 100 archery already).
Another problem is that sometimes the game creeps me out. I mean it's really not that scary but I feel kind of scared when I'm in a tomb full of draugrs and a bunch of them are sneaking up on me. Or any other situations where it might seems creepy.

Honestly, I preferred doing the side quests over the main story line. I'd go collect all the dragon shouts if you haven't done that already and go do some bizarre side quests like Marry a woman, turn into a werewolf etc.
Also, there are a lot of Easter Eggs to find like The Sword in the Stone and plenty others.

I'm not very far into the game (Lvl 14) but I am trying to cut down some of the side quest list. It gets quite long as you work on the main storyline.
Like Tanzua said try getting all the shouts. You can also try doing all the daedric quests which give you unique weapons and gear. I have yet to finish Skyrim and i have over 100hrs of gameplay.
There is a mod that adds new items for smithing. You can find that at Skyrim Nexus it is on the top 100 list for mods.

like every1 else is saying keep doing side quests to get cool items i compleated the college of winterhold quests and got the arch mages robe and a dragon priest mask magic regenerates 100% faster i have almost 300 magica and it regenerates in like 20 sec or so realy fast i think maby try leveling up some of your other skills that helped me ratherr than just focusing on the select few i wanted now i can use a biger variety of weapons and armor alot better and i think im only lvl 20 something ill chech tomorrow and post my stats

Yes that's really bizarre :P, honestly i've got such a fear of commitment that I can't even get married in a game without running away from the NPC after she tells me she loves me :P.
My advice is if you ever get bored. KILL EVERYTHING IN SIGHT
If violent videos games taught me how to read.Would educational video games teach me how to destroy.

I just recommend playing alot of the side quests. The Main storyline is kinda boring.
I recommend working on all skills, it will raise your level obviously. Dont feel like you need to be a certain build. With most people who have played skyrim since release, they have become bored because they have done almost everything possible. Hopefully the DLC is worth waiting for :)
try and do all the dedric quests. Those can be quite interesting. Then you can work on becoming Thane of every hold. If you dont want to do any of those. You can always start over if you want and do something different. Try being a mage, it is quite challenging if you don't know what you are doing but at high levels you can decimate all
When you get bored, try to headshot with arrow. LOL
All the quests focus on specific skills. Example the college quests focus on magic, the thieves guild on sneak, the companions on armor, one handed etc. so do a little bit of everything instead of focusing on one only.
