I was thinking about upgrading my graphics card in my Alienware M14x because it is a little bit slow, so i was wondering if i can upgrade it and maybe if you would know of any good laptop graphics cards that are out there.

The M11x and M14x have the GPU embedded on the motherboard to save space and lower costs. The obvious downside being you can't upgrade it.

that is not true i have spoken with a alienware tech and says its 80 bucks for 2 gig video card and diff price so on it does have built-in intel hd graphics and also has geforce gt 650m card i have a m14xr2 just got it for xmas great computer no issues at all alienware is still top of the leader boards

the m14x has its nvidia gpu soldered onto the motherboard so you canot upgrade it later. but there is two versions which you can initially purchase with your system which is the 1 and 2 gb versions.

What the tech meant was that the M14x is available with the choice of two GPUs. You can order it with either the 1 GB GT 650m, or a 2 GB GT 650m. You cannot however, upgrade it later like dajakesta was asking.
