I agree. Games are too expensive. Sooner or later, they'll hit $100.
Why do you think piracy exists in such a high number if prices were appropriate for release...
Through all the differences it is still perfection.

Don't really care. Though I'm hardly rolling in money right now, prices for standard versions haven't gone through the roof yet. Collector's editions, on the other hand, are getting way over-priced.
Games are too expensive and many times too short. If I am going to pay $50+ for a game, then I expect to get at least 50 - 60 hours of game time out of it. If I spend that money on a game and beat it in 10 hours then I am pissed and don't recommend it to gaming buddies.

I concur with this.

$40 is a good price for new games. $60 is too damn high, especially for PC games.
I think pricing is just fine at least just for normal editions. I don't go out there and buy 20 games a year, I just get maybe between 1-4 per year. Others I get from testing or gifts. But I don't mind current pricing, if it's a game I love like halo I'll have saved up in time for legendary.
Plus I plan ahead so that I have the money in time for releasing rather then last minute so even so I don't have an issue.

I think pricing is adequate when you're talking about the standard editions of quality games. I don't mind shelling out for worthwhile games that provide a lot in terms of content.
Because people want something for nothing. Price is just an excuse that people use to rationalize the act.

Voted that game prices are reasonable if you take into account inflation and changing currency valuation.
In fact vs the 1980 game values the games should cost $100 by now, but do not.
Also games decrease in value as soon as 2 weeks after a games release depending on quality and popularity. Every person puts a different value on a game so a new game at $60 is worth $60 for someone that even gets 30 hours in, but may only be worth $20 even if another person also gets 30 hours in because they perceive the value of the game differently.
Price is important to most gamers, but time is also fairly important. One has to always balance to two when deciding which games to get. Time is almost always greater than money unless you have little of it and deem it less important. (time is almost always most important)
Now it is common for games to be both $60 and $100+ if the other option was for a collectors edition with extras. Some players would only get the regular edition
just for the games.
The current prices are more than acceptable and even with indie games with a virtual cap of $20-30.
Game prices can continue to go up, but only as long as you pay for it.

I totally agree with this here it don't matter what the price of something is if someone can get it for free they would rather do that
I don't mind the current game prices. In Australia we are paying around $90 for new release games.
If I get 100+ hours out of a game, I'm more than happy.

unless we all wanna go back to 8bit video games we all have to do our part if we want quality games that tend to be more expensive
Not to start any controversy, but games with a higher price tag, or monthly fees generally have a more loyal audience and fewer trolls. The games are also much better in terms of content delivered, game balance and give more back to their communities than games that either cost less, are run on low budgets or are absolutely free to play. True story.
I feel the price we pay to play is fair. Not a fan of nickle/diming with DLC, but over all the price is ok. If a game comes out that I don't feel is worth the $50-$60, I'll wait for a sale or a price drop. Digital downloads to me are a bit high though in my humble opinion. I'm all for cutting out the middle man, but the saving should atleast be shared.
