If a game comes out that I don't feel is worth the $50-$60, I'll wait for a sale or a price drop. Digital downloads to me are a bit high though in my humble opinion. I'm all for cutting out the middle man, but the saving should atleast be shared.
I feel the same way. I hate getting nickel and dimed by DLCs. The price is fair but only if the game as a whole is sold. There are games that have first day DLCs which is ridiculous. DLCs and expansions should not be out at least until the game has been in the market for around 2-3 months.javascript:void();

you would think that Digital copies would be cheaper becuase it saves materials for the disk and boxes. But even if they lowered the price it would run the distributor out of business.
I seldom buy games upon launch. Normal launch price is around £50 or $90 as it translates too. That is way too much. For a good game I buy at £30/$55, others when on offer.

Lets see for you console gamers. If you buy an Xbox, and then 4 new games, you just spent the amount you spent on your xbox, on only 4 video games...
How dumb is that....
PC gamers... At retail prices, if you buy 16 games, you spent the same amount as your average hames gaming computer... wtf?

True, that.
Which is why I love Steam's sales, haha!

True, but i like to own my games, I do not like renting/leasing them which is what you do when you pay for a game from Origin or Steam.

However, more and more games are shifting towards having to always be online and activated via Steam/Origin. If I cared enough I'd buy the game but get a hacked .exe. No need for the DVD to be in the computer and no need to be online.And now you know why piracy will never die... Because game producers for your hand when you have no want to do so.. Its stupid.

Yeti575 said: Yup - piracy is going nowhere. It was there in the 80's, 90's, 00's and will certainly not go away due to copy protection payloads or other nonsenseHaha I agree. though the FBI wants to try!

Amen. The words right out of my mouth.

I'm the same, for the most part, but I don't mind Steam at all! Although I will always love receiving a boxed game in the mail and the excitement of opening the box and slotting the disc into the optical drive!
