Question: Do you agree with article or don't care as long as you are one of the first to play
| Hell ya cheaper is better | |
| Who cares as long as i'm first to play | |
| Price is appropriate for release |
Sever1ty said: Not to start any controversy, but games with a higher price tag, or monthly fees generally have a more loyal audience and fewer trolls. The games are also much better in terms of content delivered, game balance and give more back to their communities than games that either cost less, are run on low budgets or are absolutely free to play. True story.
I agree with 1 big exception. MW3. The game is VERY expensive. 40 pounds is way more than an average 25-30 pounds for a game in UK and yet it is just MW2 with a few minor changes and many babies playing. Don't get me wrong, i like the game but online does get annoying at times.
Now, i find that 30 pounds is a fair price for a new game as long as it delivers 20-30h of gameplay. Anything over that is overpriced, especially the collectors edition prices are from outter space. Still, as long as the standard version is max 30 pounds, i am happy
That being said, many games sold for 20-30 pounds offer under 10h of gameplay. Now this is just not ok, these games are not worth more than 5 pounds. So for me its all down to gameplay time and game quality.
The Witcher 2 is very cheap for what it offers, MW3 is extremely expensive for what we get.

I don't care about the price of anything if I want it and I have the cash for it I'll get it after all I can't take it with me when I die

YES GAMES ARE TOO EXPENSIVE. Some are even 70 bucks, and when they do hit $100 each... Yeah, I'm just gunna cut myself by then.

Anywhere between £15-£30 is well within tolerable bounds. £40-£60 for something that probably ends in 5 hours is less so.
All depends on the game. How much i am willing to pay if i want to wait or not.

Yeah too pricy. Thats the reason why cracked releases are so popular. If games were bit cheaper more people would just buy these. Also im sure they would bring in more money in long run.
