I watched the advance screening last night in 2D and the visuals are just jaw-dropping...perhaps not the best of 2012 but it was very entertaining and at times drove me at the edge of my seat...it was non-stop action.

It was a nice family movie...I was with my 4 year old nephew and inside the theater he shouted "why is John Carter in the movie?" People laughed, it was a bit embarrassing but he's right...the lead actor is Taylor Kitsch who also played the main character in the movie John Carter...I haven't seen Warhorse, I'll check it out.

I had fun as a kid playing the board game. And with these old board games getting movies now is kind of cool. And this movie is looking awesome, Can't wait!

No...way better...there is the beginning, the middle and the end...unlike Battle for LA where you seem not to understand where the story is heading...it's a Michael Bay movie, the same team who made the Transformer series...popcorn entertainment.

Rihanna acting skills is not bad...I thought she played the part really well.

Ya the movie is based mainly on the Battleship Board game. Of course with it's own twist to make it better.

From everything I've read, they took the idea of making a movie based on the game Battleship, then stripped it down to the concept of a Naval battle, added an alien invasion and went for broke as a war movie.

From what's been said, there's only 2 real links to the game left, the name, and a comment about blindly firing at the enemy and hoping to hit them.

After seeing the trailers I actually want to see this, which I never thought I'd say when I heard about it initially.
