I wanted to check-in to hear what your experience was receiving a beta invite for DOTA 2. I filled out my survey a few weeks ago but I'm still waiting to hear back from Valve. It is painful to see all my buddies log-in and play all night. /singletear

Anyone have any inside information on how long I can expect to wait for a beta invite? Thanks for any advice.

Depends. If you filled out the survey and vlave needs that particular person to test out the game, based off the answers, then they will send a key out to you. To increase your chances go to http://www.playdota.com/forums/announcement.php?f=160&a=62

I believe you should registered now and at least do it besides the fact that only eligible are members whom registered before 04/05/2012. But just do it. Because they do extend the date.

Got a key, but i heard about, that the invites come in waves.
My friends filled out the survey 2 weeks before another friend and i did. Both of us got a key. Maybe its just a matter of timing.

hit the playdota forums. they have a giveaway. Otherwise, there was a recent surge in dota 2 players as loads of players got keys to give out to friends. make some friends :O

I'm reading about your wait times. I got mine a month after i finish they survey. but I told a friend of mine and he got his in like a week and a half back in February
