Want to Buy Nvidia GeForce GTX 555
Good Afternoon all,
Just wondering if any one knows where I can get my hands on a Nvidia GeForce GTX 555 graphics card. As they are OEM im pretty much sure buying new wont be possible?
Leading to has any one got a fairly new on they dont want or they havent used due to replacing to a better GPU & would you fancy selling it?
If any one does know where to get them though please share :)
Thanks

Have you checked Ebay? I have an X51 on the way, but probably won't upgrade from the GTX 555 for a year or so :(
I cant find a 555 anywhere, but i have been reading around and found out that possible the ZOTAC GeForce® GTX 560 SE is just a gtx 555 but rebranded.
"For those that don't know this is the GTX555, an OEM only card (mainly sold in the Alienware X51 boxes), just rebranded. However, apparently Zotac has decided to drop the clock rate on the GPU for some reason as the 555 has a clock rate of 776mhz, yet this is 746mhz. Odd."
Any one confirm because if that is the case the ZOTAC GeForce® GTX 560 SE would have no problem in a x51 should it?

Oh, you're putting this is an X51? You'll need the bigger power supply. Honesty you might as well get a 7850.
I have a GTX 555 that I'm willing to sell that I replaced with a GTX 580 when I got my new PC. It's only been used the one time I fired up when I first got my new pc.
I'm pretty sure they are OEM.

If your for real mate send me a private message on how much and where you would be sending it from etc :)
The 555 is definately a good card for gaming. If you want better performance and lower power consumption/heat though, the 7800 series ATI cards would be the way to go. You will spend more up front, but they will be relevant longer.
You can buy a GTX555 for 120 usd in TAOBAO

Why are you bringing up such an old thread? Also, why would you buy one period. 6xx series cards are out and come in the new x51. Just a waste of money.

To add up to Spoofin - you can put GTX 660 or even 670 in the X51.
As I walk through the vally of work and study I shall fear no boredom for my laptop is with me.
