Ivy Bridge only just came out a few days ago; patience, mate! And besides, even the current Sandy Bridge processors are much faster than any game ever needs a processor to be, so besides power efficiency and some other features there really isn't much of a point in that upgrade...

Most likely around the first week of May. I, too, have been holding off my order until Ivy Bridge is put into Alienware. It can't be long, considering there are other laptops with Ivy Bridge already, and Alienware needs to stay competitive if they want to keep up sales...

Same here i think it would be great to have that extra performance boost plus it will run cooler and not drain you battery as much!

:P definately many of us can tell the difference. For one, Ivy Bridge is suppose to run cooler. Most of us monitor temps on a regular basis so we will notice the difference.
However, an average user who just wants to install games and play, will see no difference since sandy bridge processors are overkill for gaming, thats true

Still, many members look forward to ivy bridge. I am thinking about upgrading my cpu to ivy bridge for lower temps

I hope it's a new flagship; we need something to replace the Area-51.

It would be cool to see that beast return. But dell has been thinging of the $$$ required to buy aliens and that's why they nerfed the brand name to something cheaper. Which kind of sucks beecuase Alienware was the top of the top. And now everyone can get one...

my time has come.
