Just curious as to why you chose that and did not go with the 580m from Nvidia or the 675m from Nvidia? I understand you got the the new Radeon card so congratulations on that by the way. Is the FPS better in contrast with the NVIDIA cards or perhaps it uses less battery life? I understand it's more economic too.

EDIT: GTX 660m got P2600
EDIT: GTX 580m got P3439
EDIT: GTX 675m got P3520
EDIT: HD 6990m got P3555
EDIT: HD 7970m got P6847
Makes you wonder why the GTX675m is more expensive than the HD7970m. Of course we still have to see the gaming results on all these cards but the 7970m is obviously faster.

Cant wait you tell us how many FRPS you are geting on BTF3 on ultra !!!!
Hi all,
my "old" vga was an HD6970M. i have chosen the HD7970M because this is the most powerfull mobility Vga of all. personally I am not aware of the price of Nvidia Vga, but with AMD I've always been better than with nvidia.
I did not choose to change because my current laptop is very powerful; i have an i7 2720QM, 16GB DDR3, HDD Samsung 830 256GB, and the new vga.
I'm a fan of video games and I thought about doing this upgrade because I believe that with this PC I can play in a more than decent even for a while 'time.
yes, the assembly of vga I did by myself, but I disagreed with Dell support as reseller and technical support of PCs and notebooks.
with regard to benchmarks or other personally do not do anything, I'm pleased to see that the games revolve fluids and with good detail. In the case of BF3 I can say that I've gone from a high detail to 1600x900 without any problem with hd6970m, and now with ultra detail there is any sort of slowdown. frames per second I looked at them and not even interest me, but I can assure you that BF3 with ultra detail is absolutely not a problem.
ok, now I think I have answered all the questions. emphasize only the fact that now there are no drivers that support officially HD7970M, then a few small problems remain, but nothing serious.
If I can be of help to someone, well I do it gladly.
