Headset For Gaming

What would you guys recommend?
The TactX Headset is nice if you don't use the mic. http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/products/Gaming_Audio/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=313-7972
Personally, I use Tritton AX 720's for gaming. They work great with both my PS3 and Xbox 360. If you have an optical out connection on your PC, I don't see why they wouldn't work. The sound is great and mic volume is adjustable seperately from the games sound settings. Best investment I have ever made.

Yeah, I had the x41's prior to the Trittons. They were a decent headset. my best advice is to pick either up at a retailer with a generous return policy and try both out. I don't think you can find a better set at your local retailer.
If money isn't a huge factor, the Astro A40's are a stellar headet. I have a dorky friend that lives by these and after trying them I can honestly say I was very impressed. http://www.astrogaming.com
I've been using my Trittons for about a year and a half. I had the X41 before those and wasn't happy with the build quality, but they sounded very nice. To me the Trittons are much more comfortable, but it really is a matter of preferance.

I'm using the BOSE QuietComfort 15, not really is a gaming headset to be honest, but it is brilliant.
What defines you is how you react to disappointments.

What price range are you looking at? If you don't need a microphone then the HD 598 or 558 by Sennheiser are excellent all-around headphones.
If you need a headset then the Astro A40 or A30 are excellent choices.
All of those are towards the upper end of headphones/headsets for gaming though.

a40s and a30s are amazing, especially with the mixamp if you do not have a price range then i say go for them.
You can use them for xbox ps3 and your mp3, not to mention that you can take off the mic and use it as a very big headset
i use a Bose AE 2 i think, i bought them for music but now i also use them for playing on my laptop and my xbox 360, they are not a real gaming headset but i prove the tritton 720 from a friend and the sound was very similar, the only difference i found is that with the 720 you hear better the little sounds like steps
id go with the tactx works great for me
I got my toes in the water @$$ in the sand not a worry in the world and a cold beer in my hand

You need a converter that has a 2.5mm audio jack female input with a 3.5mm audio
jack and then just plug the part that would go into your controller into it
http://www.amazon.com/Headset-Adapter-3-5mm-2-5mm-Converter/dp/B000LMBJMA
and if you wanna go all out and get the 7.1 surround then do this skip to the pc part
