Is Tychus Findlay really dead? we know Jim pulled out his gun and took a shot at Tychus. But could he have just injury Tychus. What do you think?

pretty sure he's dead if the bullet didn't kill him Mengsk or whoever is controlling the kill switch in his suit did for failing to kill Kerrigan

All we know was that he was locked in the suit. Nothing about a kill switch. Jim could have shot the comm link.

I guess that would still be possible but I don't know if Jim knows where the transponder is located

yes but Matt never told Jim the exact location of the transponder at least not to our knowledge
Edit: What I find odd is when Matt told Jim about it they never attempted to disable the transponder at all, I mean they have a science facility in the Hyperion I'm sure Stettman would've figured it out eventually
