Engraved Nameplate
Hi. I apologize if this is old-hat, but I'm new here. I am receiving a new Alienware 18x laptop purchased through bestbuy.com tomorrow, but unfortunately they never asked what I would like on the nameplate and ship their laptops w/ blank plates. Is there anyway to get those things engraved by Alienware aftermarket??? Thanks for your help. The darn thing is brand new. Dell said to "contact Alienware directly" because they don't sell the plates alone. Any help?

What I would do first is build a PC on the alienware site. When you get the the nameplate pate part, put in what you like the nameplate to say and view the preview. Copy the preview photo. check for shops in your area that do laser engraving. And see if they can engrave the plate for you. I had a friend that did this and got a nice look then what Dell ships out.
I suggest asking this on the official Alienware Facebook page, they get shit done that Dell can't or won't do for you.
In Europe we do not have the option to engrave, but you can go to a local hardware or jewellery shop to have it engraved to your liking but I doubt it will look like how Alienware does it in their factory.

Like the other two said. Just take in a photo of what it will look like or even the plate itself and see what they can do. you might even be able to get better font that way if you want.
Lawranger197, bettadenu, and MAJPenguin25. Thanks to all of you!!! I will go to the Alienware Facebook page first, then a local engraver next, if need be. Great ideas. Thank you again!

No problem. Good luck getting it done the way you want to. Hope you like it and welcome to the community, if you so choose to stay around for awhile
