I have a new Android phone that has this feature. My initial impressions of it back when I first heard of it were that I liked it, thought it was a great idea and wanted to try it. Now the reality of it isn't quite as smooth as I thought it was going to be. I mean it's a great idea...and I know records have been set using this. But my hands are huge and my screen is 4". Now I disparately miss my slide out keyboard. The buttons were still small but at least they were raised and I could mostly type by feel. I just can't seem to get on board with these new touchscreen keyboards. Maybe if I could scale up the screens size to match my hands...I don't know.

What are your thoughts on it?

My phone has this as well and it is a good idea but just not at the point where it is needed or works properly. Much work needed for this still.

Looks cool but I'm just fine with picking my fingers up. I would get lost without picking them up

I love the Swype function!! But i must admit, it still needs some work.. I've had my fair share of Autocorrect mishaps using Swye lol

I am fine with pointing at the letters I need. I can see how some people would like using this but I don't really text that much to begin with.

I love that right after a complaint about autocorrect you had a misspelling.

I am using it to type this right now. I guess I will at least have to give it a chance. I gotta say it is fairly forgiving a far as me overshooting letters with my fingers. I was still much quicker on my slideout keyboard. Sometimes I really hate change though.

Just use Android's talk to text function.

My phone has this, but it isn't called Swype, I think mine's built in and you can just change it from the settings. Great feature, makes texting a whole lot easier.

oh so you finally got your phone did you? I also have swype and im not a fan of it ill either talk for short messages or type for long messages

change can suck but at least we don't need that change for a few years when it becomes more mandatory and we are use to it til we use it in every day life.
