You can try out RealTemp. it is a good temp monitoring program that is free.

There is also various software programs for monitoring different things here. HWMonitor checks both CPU and GPU in real time.

i downloaded HWMonitor and i'm very confused by these temps. hwmonitor is claiming outrageous crazy high temps. so what are ambient sensor 1,2 and 3 from command center. keep in mind that i have nothing running really, as you can see in my task manager.

The temps displayed by HWMonitor are the actual temps of your CPU processor cores and GPU cores. The first value is the current real time value.
The next one is the minimum recorded and the last is the maximum recorded.

If you are getting high temp with nothing running then you may need a repaste on your CPU/GPU. make sure that you clean out the dust from your fans and heatsinks and that you have positive airflow through your case.

BTW, your image is too small to read the HWMonitor information.

This topic would have been better in the hardware section and would have gotten responses faster there.

Yeah, upload new picture and maybe crop out the area with important stuff. Open applications dont show anything btw, cpu usage does. Cus if something is running on background (eg AV) it still uses cpu and dont show up there.

oops yeah i see i should've put it in hardware section. ok when i get home i'll repost a better screen shot (my bad). so i'm new to the whole "liquid cooling systems". what exactly is the purpose of the ambient 1,2,3 sensors? they all read and hover around 73-78F.

i just assumed one of those was the cpu temp, the other is the gpu temp and the 3rd was the over all temp inside the case. wow, was i wrong lol. i seriously hope these 100+ temps aren't reading accurate. i've only had the computer for exactly 1 month as of today.

one more thing to add. if the radiator is dusty, will that raise the cpu/gpu temps drastically? i know that sounds like a total noob question but i am a noob in this area lol

Dust skyrockets the temps. Basicly radiator trasnfers heat to air that is moving trough it. If dust is in the way it gets less and less effective cus the hot air cant escape.

73-78 F? Its 28C so its low. My air cooled cpu idles @ 40+C for example. Even 100 F is low cus its only 38C. So your temps are really good as they should be in water cooled pc. Keep the hwmonitor while gaming cus max temps are the things you should be worried about but im sure these are fine aswell.

Do you mean 100+C? If so, yes.. waaay to high. Fahrenheit-wise, that is kinda below normal unless absolutely nothing is going on like kermanius said.
100F is about 38C. So if (and I hope not..lol) you are running 100C, that would be about 212F..or hot enough to boil water. I usually hit tops at 55C (131F) on my GPU during heavy gaming. If I notice it getting much hotter, I just kick up the fans a bit.
And yes, dusty equipment will impede air-flow. If it is dusty outside, I assure you it is dusty inside as well. Canned air is better to use than just a cloth, but if you have nothing else, a good soft cloth wiping lightly sprayed (the cloth, not inside the pc) with something that picks up dust is better than nothing.

I actually do have a real life, I just don't remember what the password to it is...

sigh of relief! no no, i definitely meant 100F. i switched the program to farenheit so i know what the acutal temp is. 113F is the highest temp i've seen.
