Best explanation to ME3 ending.
It takes 47 muscles to frown, and 17 to smile.. It only takes 3 to end a life.. One shot, one kill.

As to the video, I have mixed feelings. On the one hand I'm really happy to consider the possibility that the ending wasn't as stupid or poorly written as I had first thought, but on the other hand I am a bit angry at EA and Bioware for holding off explaining the ending (if it is indeed the case) with post-game DLC, which means that I will have to pay for it when I do buy the game (which won't be for a while), and I feel kind of ripped off by that. No game, no matter how good it is, is worth over $60, in my opinion, and forcing the purchase of DLC to make the game's ending satisfying is just not fair. For that reason I hope that the DLC will be free and continue to be so, but unfortunately, from what I've heard of EA and the way that they manage DLC, I'm pretty confident that it won't be, against my hopes...

Yep, exactly, for the first year; then it gets a price tag... loverly. At the moment it doesn't look like I'll be able to afford any new games for a long while, what with paying off my rig and whatnot, and in July I have to help my sister pay off our car and contribute toward car insurance (while still recovering from practically emptying my bank account out for the new computer...)

You really should play the games. But basically, both the first, second and most of the third game block options depending if you've chosen to do things the "paragon" or "renegade" way. This opens up different options (for example you can save a major character from death if you help him out earlier in the game). The problem with the ending to ME3 is that A: It doesn't make sense, B: Pretty much no matter how you played you get to choose one of three ending at the end of the game. And they aren't terribly different. Imagine if a new pokemon game came out and the three starter pokemon you get to choose from are a Blue Evee, a green Evee and a red Evee.
@ Topic, that ending makes a lot of sense. Bioware should really re-con the ending and say "we denied it so it would be a surprise!". But i do think it gives the writers too much credit. Sadly i suspect the ending is a result of bad writing. (that said writing the ending to a game like that isn't easy)
