So, what, are you going to set those up in a RAID configuration or something? Meh, while I think SSDs are awesome as fast methods of storage, I prefer my good ol' mechanical. More space for less money, yessir.

Hiya. So you ordered two of these?
This is from the TechPowerUp website:
"Corsair is one of the innovation leaders in the memory and power supply market. They also provide SSDs which, so far, have been mostly based on the Sandforce flash controllers. Now they are offering an SSD based on Marvell's 88SS9174 controller, which promises best-in-class performance that can compete with what Sandforce offers."
I suppose I am curious as to why you would need two, as one seems more than powerful enough:)

I can't imagine raid 0 on your drives, seems stupidly fast.

I agree completely. Not to take away anything from you, Aintdah...as I have no idea what kind of pc this will go into, or if you already have duel GPU's cross-fired (a more sensible investment if you have extra cash:) but I suppose I look at it like a total package. For example it makes no sense to buy three monitors just because you can if you do not upgrade your GPU's to compensate. Cart before the horse, thing..heh
Post back with your specs, man. I am curious now. I am thinking this is no way for your M18...there is really quite a few other items you could update there besides an SSD.

SSD serves one purpose and one purpose only, to boot into windows faster, some game load times will increase but for game play itself, no difference, for using programs like office and stuff the tiny minute amount of time it will load faster will be unnoticeable. There is also no speed performance gained in the usability of the pc by raiding SSDs.

I do have an ssd system drive in my desktop with raided velociraptors for programs, it does boot beautifully fast. I put a hybrid 750 gig in my laptop, it running same 64bit ultimate loads just as fast as the desktop and I have 750 gig to put movies and do editing, keep libraries on, I would not want to store things even temerary on an SSD, you really need to keep them clean. I would not give up my hybrid 750 for a SSD in my laptop at this point in time for anything.

One more build. Here we go again.....

For me,opting for the SSD's were in the viewers opinion, not as sensible as I first thought. So with more discussion;where would my m18x be best in power an performance need an essential upgrade.Keeping stability an heat in mind.
