M17x Drivers Updates?

I have recently purchased the Alienware M17x laptop this past December. I later download Diablo 3 and begin to play, but it became impossible with the intense amounts of lag. my latency and fps seem fine. Also, I went onto to steam to see if my video drivers were up-to-date and according to steam they were not. I'm not very tech savvy so if someone could help me update my drivers so I can play it would be greatly appreciated.

What type of GPU do you have! Radeon? NVIDIA?

If youve searched Dell for the latest AMD drivers and you are up to date with what they have to offer, then you could look here at these instructions.
I followed theses, especially section 2 and managed to update ok.
Keep in mind this is for for 6990m only, not the nVidia card.

i updated to 12.3 Catalyst Control Center Mobility (for whatever version Windows you have, mine is Win 7 64-bit)

and this is the thread I opened a couple weeks ago for same problem as yourself.

Hope some of this helps

Is there any feature that comes with Alienware M17X R4 that searches and install the drivers, like an Alienware Command Center but for drivers?

Try downloading Driver Max from download.com. Just type the name in the site query.

Go to amd.com and get the newest catalyst drivers. don't wait for the laggers at Dell to do it. otherwise instead of 12.4 I'd be running 8.7 on my m17x r2

I'm using m17x r2 with xfire radeon 5xxx serie, my best bet for you would be www.amd.com and use the auto detect driver. Once install, just restart. If you have xfire like I do, try disable xfire and it will run smooth without a problem.
