FFS I imagine this has been done to death but what the hell nvidia!?

GTX660m, who else has it here? who else needs dedicated drivers to make it work correctly?

well i've been snooping around the net for a few days and there seem to be literally hundreds of people with the same anger.

I've sent emails to nvidia and dell hoping to get some kind of answer, Dell even offers beta drivers and GTX 660m is in the list for the driver, gives you a link which takes you to nvidia.com driver search and guess what?, "no drivers for this device are found"

omg.

anyone have any inside info or found anything helpful for GTX 640m and above users who need these drivers?

This is not very helpful!

I have never heard of having dedicated drivers. I have always gone to the respective company's site for my drivers. I currently run AMD cards, but in my other computer I have an Nvidia card.

It doesn't make sense to me that there would not be drivers for your card, least of all specific drivers from the source.

Here is the most current drivers for Nvidia cards. Released May 22, 2012. The should work for your card with no problem. Hopefully someone else can come in and be a better help.

Yesterday is gone and tomorrow never comes!

its hard to explain my plight to the best of my knowledge I have basic nvidia drivers but none for the card itself. if you search nvidia.com there are no drivers for this card. alot of people cant play games because of this..

i'm mainly playing BF3 and I can only get 60 FPS when everything is on low and res is set to 1600 x 900.

something is wrong :(

Hmm...well, I came across this:
http://www.nvidia.in/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-in
So don't know if that will help you. Also ran across one that was for that card but targeting it for the Windows 8 beta. I did not bother posting that link.
Hope it helps.

lol... I followed my link and it took me to a download page for the R300 driver? WTH Nvidia?
I came out with nothing in a search but other customers like you who are frustrated. I could only suggest contacting Nvidia support.

Hello Daniel,

Thank you for contacting NVIDIA Customer Care.

This is Shreyas, assisting you with the issue that you are experiencing.

I understand from your email that you are unable install the driver available on NVIDIA website.

There are a few options available to upgrade NVIDIA drivers for notebook computers.

1) Primary Source = Notebook Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)

The primary source for graphics drivers is from your notebook OEM. These drivers have been fully qualified by the OEM to work with their specific notebook customizations. NVIDIA does not control the schedule for updates to these OEM drivers.

2) Optional Source = Direct from NVIDIA

Please note that drivers direct from NVIDIA are provided as is and do not carry any guarantees, warranties, or support. NVIDIA recommends that you check with your notebook OEM about recommended software updates for your notebook. OEMs may not provide technical support for issues that arise from the use of drivers on NVIDIA.com.

The reason the drivers are not working from NVIDIA website is that the laptop graphics card is customize before installing the graphics card in the laptop. We are not involved during the installation/production of the graphics card. We provide just the basic chipset of the graphics card to the laptop manufacturer.

As of now we do not have the drivers for the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 M graphics card, and we cannot comment on the future updates, I would also request you to sign up in the NVIDIA newsletter for constant updates in the link mentioned below

http://www.nvidia.com/content/subscribe/nvidia/nvidia_newsletter.asp

3) Third Party sources

If you have an older GPU or a system not supported by the NVIDIA BETA notebook driver, and are willing to risk a third party solution, you may try www.laptopvideo2go.com. This website hosts desktop graphics drivers which have been modified to install on a notebook. Please keep in mind that these modified drivers do not contain any customizations for your system, and will not be supported by the maker of your laptop or by NVIDIA.

Please let us know if you would like to try the third party solution.

I will look forward to your reply to assist you better.

Best regards,
Shreyas
