Rumor has it that Swotor is going F2P. Do you guys believe that this can save the game?

I'm still so new to the game that I'd probably still be willing to subscribe when my 60 days are up. I seldom play MMOs

I played this game from beta to 1.2 patch. The one thing that drives me up a wall is the fact they let such simple bugs go on for months at a time w/o even addressing it. New content comes out w/ bugs up the wazoo and we still have to deal w/ the old bugs. I left Rift and WoW to play this game and when I left along w/ 30 members of my guild to go back to our old mmo's we were rather pissed. In Rift's case I've seen them knock out a server right away to fix a minor bug that is reported. TAKE A HINT BIOWARE!!

Yes the game as rumored will go free to play to many of the games main creators and people "behind the scene" left.

I'd be more encouraged to play it if it went F2P.

Saw the news and was not too surprised the subs were dropping so much each and every month. Did not expect it to go F2P this quickly though. (thought it would still be a year)

Currently, I'm laughing to all ppls that thought that WoW will be taken down by SW:ToR Haha! In ur face! Another failed MMO

EA has already made a nice profit on F2P titles so I don't think that the decline in subs is the only reason for this transition.

Just because an MMO didn't kill WoW, doesn't make it a failed MMO. Anyone that thought TOR was going to take down WoW was full of shit, smoking crack or both. WoW is a juggernaut as I have said for years the only thing that will kill WoW is Blizzard.

That being said there is plenty of room on the internet for more then one successful MMO. TOR may not be preforming as well as expected, but that is probably more due to unrealistic expectations then any "failure" on the games part.

I would love it if it went F2P then I could stop paying for it. :)

I would buy the game if it went F2P... Im sorry but I can't pay 60 dollars for a game and then pay three times that just to play the game for like a year. (obviously an exaggeration on the three times part, I don't know for a fact how much).

Actual that is not an exaggeration it does cost roughly 3 times as much as the game cost in subs for a year. If you pay month by month which is what most people do.

Ok, new question: "Who'd play SWTOR if it was a buy to play game?"
