Counter-Strike 1.6
A decade in the making, what's next? CS 2?
Rumors have circulated that Valve is at least considering a Counter-Strike 2.
Could it be the future of Counter-Strike 1.6? Or do you think it will just divide the Counter-Strike community further?
If you are a hardcore CS 1.6 player, is CS 2 even interesting at all to you? What would it have to have in order to get you on board?
Theres no denying that the CS 1.6 and Source Scenes have been losing steam (lol) for a while now. There are way less lans and online events for both games and they are much harder to get a turnout for. Honestly there needs to be a new game for a new generation. Whether or not that will be CS 2 or not, who knows. I would say that Valve has a decent chance in being involved in whatever that is.
Anyway Cs 1.6 have long years of glory ... the most played FPS on earth ...
Would like to see a game where unskilled & insignificant use of flash and hand grenades won't effect competitions
CS 2?!?!?!?! Condition- Zero ; and Source. LOL FAILure GAMES>
1.7 Maybe that would be cool. I dont play the other games because basicly there bad games. Hit boxes are retarded, skins, maps, sounds, cars in the middle of maps, everything about those games are gay. maybe some sort of 1.7 would nice, not to much change to the game, theyve already changed it alot with the retarded avatars. iono.
Eventually, the Counter-Strike community is going to need an influx of new blood. I'm not sure that a version 1.7 would do that in a significant way.
What if they came out with a CS 2 that managed, somehow, to satisfy all existing CS 1.6 and CSS gamers? Not an easy task that's for sure.
Ther already is one in the making :p cs pro mod..
I don't see it happening. Just my opinion.
I don't think it'll happen either, but what other future is there?
Counter-Strike cannot grow without a new, broadly adopted release.
They will never be able to satisfy both communities, thats for sure...
