So I just got Starcraft 2 (late I know) and my fps is hanging in the 20's in-menu and during gameplay.

I'm running:
Geforce 460 GTX - stock overclocked
Intel Core2Duo
4gb ram
Windows 7 32bit

I def meet the recommended specs and the game recommends that I run it with the "Extreme" settings (all ultra) but I have to run it on all high to get fps in the 40's.

Any help?

Can't you just use high? You can't always believe the recommended settings are the best for playing. And the difference isn't a lot graphic wise, game looks nice on high too.

The game now runs a solid 70 fps on Extreme settings all maxed out, not really sure what was up with the game. Shut my comp off for the night, booted up next day and now runs smooth. Temps weren't an issue either gpu idles at around 30c and gets up to around 60c under stress.

update drivers, use program called CPU Z to check your clocks speeds and stuff.
If its a laptop make sure youre plugged in , and on high performance mode if your one has it.

Other than that go own some noobs

tbh does graphics really matter? Half the time I'm playing I don't even watch/look for graphics and way too busy focusing on other things haha.
