I Just Want To See What You Guys Like Better Lotro Or Wow.

I like wow better because, thats what i've been playing the longest, so I'm kinda addicted now

I played WoW from the time BWL came out until just before ICC went live. I was thoroughly sick of it long before then since they kept watering down classes to the point that almost any class can fill the role of another. I tried Cat as well but it was just more of the same old same old.

I've just recently started with LotRO and have to say that it makes you pay attention to what you're doing if you pick one of the more difficult classes to play. I don't know how it'll be in the long run, but right now it's a refreshing change.

I used to play wow about a year after it came out them my computer crashed and I couldn't recover my character so about a year ago I started up again but didn't really get into it, I just didn't like the repetitive running miles back and forth at the start, maybe just me. I tried out lotro when the mines of moria pack came out and liked it to begin with but have to say I haven't played it in quite some time, though I keep getting emails from them both either for 7 days free time on wow or to remind me that I can play lotro for free. Not sure I'll pick either of them back up again unless I get more time on my hands

i played both and lotro is kinda boring

Yeah, after a month of LotRO, I can say that it's pretty damn dull. There's a lot of problems with it as well, such as the map being useless and having to equip each trade tool specifically (WTF?) which is just tedious.

I've given up on it and can't see myself ever going back.

Definately WoW, Lotro is just way too boring.

I prefer the graphics in LOTRO and the fact I am somewhat familiar to the storyline. I have known LOTR for a long time, long before the Jackson's trilogy.

I have tried WoW for the last couple of months. But I am still leaning towards LOTRO. I found WoW quite confusing, to be honest. Again, maybe because I had an idea of the world in LOTR before the game.

lotro all the way,, graphics are awesome , story line is great,,now they have mounted combat what makes it really cool

LOTRO has beautiful graphics for a F2P game, but the content lacks once you hit level 30. You need to pay for VIP at 30+ to start levelling at a normal rate, but the quests aren't interesting enough for the subscription fee. There isn't much to do late game. I think the game is too early in development to be charging $14.99 for their lack of content.

WoW on the other hand I disliked the graphics, but I felt their F2P tutorial up to level 20 was too short. The introductionary 20 levels are over within a few hours if you just focus on quests. This doesn't give you enough time to decide whether you would like to become a subscriber or not.
