who is exited by the recent announcement of CS GO?



valve announced it and added it to the steam store with this definition:
"Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) will expand upon the team-based action gameplay that it pioneered when it was launched 12 years ago. CS: GO features new maps, characters, and weapons and delivers updated versions of the classic CS content (de_dust, etc.)."

PC Gamer Says:
In the middle of a thread on the Steam forums speculating about the possibility of a new Counter-Strike game, Valve employee Cliffe dropped two lone words "Global Offensive." Elsewhere, CVG report that anti-cheat providers ESEA post on their Facebook page with another simple message "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive... More info in the morning." Just below the post there's an image of ESEA man Craig Levine turning the gigantic valve in the lobby of Valve's headquarters in Seattle.

Cadred's Richard Lewis spilled the beans on the trips, saying "Valve have approached several top players from across Europe, as well as J3di from the Zblock team, and have invited them to a meeting in their Seattle offices to discuss the future of the game."

I saw this in Steam a hours back. I'm excited for the cross-platforming and new modes but the only concern is the drastic change in gameplay and HUD mechanics.
Anyway, I can't wait to see some exciting new info later this year!

lol cross platform just means you get to stomp on baddies that are not using mouse and keyboard =p

Not quite true. Battlefield is a standalone game, it's got vehicles and tons of customization. I do agree on the Call of Duty aspect because Valve has been taking aspects of Call of Duty games for the past few years now and I would imagine tti would be working that way.

Cant wait for this release. its gonna give us a chance to show those console gamers how lame they really are!!!! haha.
