So I am thinking of cancelling WoW and moving myself to Rift.

Anyone have opinions on this or maybe some helpful tips to get me started on RIFT, like server info or class info? On WoW i played a mage and hunter.

ya i would say go with rift! it is something new and i find it very fun! as for class just depends on what you enjoy there is a lot of combos in rift with the soul system!

WOW is old ... RIFT is the new WOW :D i like it much more then WOW played both.
the class system is muhc better and the dynamic rift event system ... and it looks much much better!!!

Get some friends to try it out with you. I got to 50 and played mostly solo and it got rather boring for me. As far as classes go, I played a Mage and it was fun. Bards were fun as well but I was not able to max it out so I am not sure how they are at 50.

I find it same as wow nothing really new only classes and rifts but if your still a mmo fan i would go with rift just because of the new feel to it.

rift... and i would lvl and pve first then swap to pvp if u want when ur lvl and geared(due to free sever transfer)... there is a lot of severs that are to heavy on one faction making it hard to anything with out being babysit or running with groups... and pve has pvp rift still, so if u want world pvp at lower lvls u still cacn

Definitely rift. Open world raids, what's not to like about that?

RIFT looks epic. I am about to start it.

I played WoW for years. Just started playing Rift. I would have to say Rift is very similar to WoW, but has a few features that make it interesting. The world events are awesome. The class system seems to work out alright. Not quite the way I anticipated, but it is still different, and nice. Anyways, if you enjoyed WoW, you will like Rift, and should enjoy some of the unique features it offers.

Since its being brought back up going to say Old Republic is worth a look when it comes out good game so far with what I've played.
