RIFT Online
Should i start playing RIFT?
is this good game or bad game?
I'm quite sure that only a small portion of the gaming population would say that it's bad. Although, ranking it from mediocre to great would greatly depend on what games make you smile. Try it out, if you don't mind downloading the game just for the free trial.
try it out man, It's a very good game if you get into it.

The game is good, but you might not enjoy it. If you enjoy MMOs, it is one of the best. If not, you won't enjoy it no matter how good it is.
try out the trial, its 7 days, also you have a 20 level limit
I just started playing Rift a few days ago and am enjoying it. I like the abiliy a class has to switch roles within seconds. So for example a cleric can pretty much on the fly change up its spells to suit healing for a group/raid, and then switch back to a bit more of a offensive build for solo and questing. I am also liking the public raiding.
If you like PVP, it's all about the server you're on.
"Good" game tho.

I love RIFT, Its the first game I've enjoyed alot since EQ back in the day. It's leveling system is fast, and the class system is setup so that you can; for instance, make a mage and have a role for everything. You can be DPS, support, heals, or crowd control and buffs, or any combination of that.. I'm, only level 34 but I enjoy it quite a bit, has good mechanics and runs very well, very stable. Also, the graphics are beautiful if you have the system to run them. The only thing it has in common with WoW is the fact that leveling usually means grinding quests. But you can also do dungeon instances which offers good xp and loot so you can gear up as you level, and there are also non-instance dungeons and raids aswell...
Overall the game is build incredibly and is very well polished, and the class mechanics is very versatile and alot of fun to play with. It can also be frustrating trying to figure out which type of build to make for the best character you can have..
It's a great game, I think Guild Wars 2 will be better though.

im thinking about downloading rift and playing the free trail.
is it a one time pay or do you have to pay monthly like WOW?
and is it like other MMO's were if you dont pay money for the specaial items then you cant raise to a high level?

its pay to play, I joined from WoW, but it gets extremely boring after a while in my opinion, I already cancelled my sub after 2 months...not enough pvp or challenging things
RIFT is a good game. I came from EQ2, I played it for several years after moving there from EQ1. I find the games quite similar in some ways, you can choose to PVP or not, and there are many character build options. The EQ2 world was huge, RIFT isn't there yet, but given the time, they would get there. I really like the fact that you can switch roles on the fly in RIFT. Go from a warrior tanking mobs, to a dps or a solo role. The only problem with that part is that after you've hit level 50, and you're playing more serious, you'd be pretty much expected to have a different set of gear for each role too. That's taking up a lot of bag space. But, that's a concern for another day. Absolutely no reason why you shouldn't download it and give it a try. 9.5/10
its a really good game even though u have to pay for it (btw theres private servers coming out soon)
