RAM Upgrade for Alienware Area-51
Hey guys. I am new to this forum, and new to Alienwares. I gotta say I like the forums here. A lot of good information. I previously had an XPS 730x, which had nothing but problems, and Dell got me a system exchange to an Area-51.
My system should be here this coming week, and I just had a couple questions about it, since these systems are new, and I cant find anything about them on google or the rest of the net.
First, I wanted to know if anyone knows if the Alienware motherboard wiill support more than 1333MHz memory, and if so, what is the max speed? And if the motherboard will have XMP memory support?
Secondly, is the PSU upgradeable to any aftermarket ATX power supply, without worrying about any kind of "Dell Proprietary" connectors if there are any on the stock power supply?
