im a black belt in karate, dont diss taekwondo kids.

I have studied Wing Chug for 7 years and I was a Black Belt (with blood stripe) Instructor in the U.S. Marine Corps. Im fairly certain that qualifies me to post here.

nothing against taekwondo but its not very hard to get a black belt. i use to train in goju kai. u had to be 18 y/o to get your black belt. i went to school with kids in the 3rd grade that had a black belt. and i asked my instructor why we couldnt get a black belt. he put it like this to me. you see that guy (a white belt but a full grown man} he asked me if i can beat in kumite. i said no hes a grown up. he said "ok how can you have a black belt if you cant beat a white belt". he said to get your black belt you have to be able to beat every one in class. i garuantee that old guy would kick these taekwondo blackbelts butts that were 9 years old. lol

The WTF Tae Kwon Do is VERY lame.
Although ITF Tae Kwon Do definitely is a lot better than karate.

Black belt in Judo

Black Belt in Aikido but my teacher always says its not the belt that makes the martial arts and the belt system really was started to get more money out of people that's a fact.
