The Codex Warfront "I guess that flag is their leader?" |
The Codex Warfront contains 4 nodes that reward points to your team. All nodes reward 3 points every 5 seconds, except for “The Codex” node which rewards 5 points every 5 seconds.

The Codex
The primary focus of this Warfront revolves around The Codex node at the top of the map. The Codex node is easily defended by the team that controls the node due to the unique terrain surrounding the flag.
Statue of Thontic & Translation Scope
These nodes are mirrors of one another with each one being very close to the starting locations of the two factions (Statue of Thontic for Guardians and Translation Scope for Defiants). Due to their close locations to the spawning locations, expect each faction to control their respective nodes early in the battle.
Although, each are close to their faction’s starting locations, their open areas allow them to be vulnerable to quick attacks.
The Vault
The Vault is on the opposite end of The Codex node in the South. Due to the relative distance between The Vault and The Codex, it is extremely hard to control and defend both nodes for long periods of time.
The Codex + Faction Home Node
The most efficient path to victory is to control The Codex and the node that is closest to your spawning locations (Statue of Thontic for Guardians and Translation Scope for Defiants). This will put your team at 8 points per 5 seconds and the opposing team at 6 points per 5 seconds. Additionally, controlling The Codex node will make it much easier to defend both nodes against attacks.
The Vault + Both Faction Nodes
If you are unable to gain control over The Codex and your team is finding it difficult to wrestle control away from the opposing faction, trying to gain control over The Vault and both faction nodes is a good strategy to help loosen the opposing team’s defenses at The Codex. This strategy can be effective in two ways:
1. The opposing team overreacts and attempts to regain control over their faction node. This opens up The Codex to an attack.
2. The opposing team under reacts and do not send enough forces to retake their faction node or any other node. Until they send a strong enough force to re-take a node, you will be outpacing the opposing team at 9 points per 5 seconds versus their 5 points per 5 seconds.
Knowing what type of reaction the opposing team is having will help ensure you respond correctly. If the opposing team overreacts and sends a large force to re-take their faction node, but don’t send enough forces to gain control over The Codex, you may find yourself without your opponent’s faction node and The Codex.
