Yes, you must have your own copy of Starcraft 2 if you are playing in the online division.

What are the prizes to be won?

Just cash and that K21 Network card? Or is it cash, K21, and say... an alienware? :P

Oh for sure. My last tourny, 512 participants, we ended up having only 119 b4 start. Every1 either forgets to wake up early for the confirmation or completely forgets about it! I can estimate about 150 people will not confirm, so being 505th is pretty good. CONFIRM.

Blizzard has lifted that restriction for this tournament. We can now exceed 500 participants.

Now that the limit is removed, it doesn't matter what order you registered in. As long as you are on the list of competitors, you are ready for the tournament.

Hey someone told me that this tournament was going to be in Denver, Colorado so I signed up for the LAN part of the tourny.  Is this true? And if so can you please tell me where I can go to play my matches. Thx :)

Hey, I was just wondering what to do if my opponent hasn't responded to my messages or accepted the proposed deadline?  I know the final deadline isn't until Thursday, but I don't want to take a loss if this guy forgot he was in the tournament.
