Alienware Arena Tournament sponsored by Samsung
Online PC gaming competition features $3,000 in prizes including Samsung SSDs (Solid State Drives)
Alienware Arena is excited to announce the Samsung SSD Heroes of Newerth Annihilation Tournament, the third online PC gaming tournament in an ongoing series sponsored by Samsung and Alienware™, Dell's premier PC gaming brand representing premium power and performance for gamers and technology enthusiasts alike.
Utilizing the hit indie title Heroes of Newerth, PC gamers will command the battles and spells of legendary heroes in the digital land of Newerth. As part of teams of five or more players each, gamers will need to balance their individual skill with closely coordinated team tactics in order to annihilate their competitors.
The competition will be held in a double-elimination bracket format with matches held twice per week from March 21 to May 12. There's more than pride on the line. Up for grabs is a prize pool of $1,500 in cash and a set of high-performance Samsung SSDs for the overall champions.
"We are delighted to be sponsoring the Samsung SSD Heroes of Newerth Annihilation Tournament," said Jim Elliott, vice president of memory marketing and product planning, Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. "Event gamers and others who use our highest-performance SSDs will enjoy the high-adrenaline speeds that they offer."
Registration for the Samsung SSD Heroes of Newerth Annihilation Tournament is free and open now until March 27. Registration and additional event details including the schedule and full contest rules are available at http://www.alienwarearena.com/event/samsung-hon/.
