Q: Good afternoon! Who are you guys? Where are you based? What other titles, if any, have you all previously worked on?
A: My name is Mike Turner, and I am the VP of Business Development for Wargaming.net. Wargaming.net is a Cypress based company, well known for our massively popular free-to-play PC title World of Tanks, but the company has a long and successful history in the PC gaming business, particularly in the military strategy genre.
Q: What can you share about what you will be doing at your booth?
A: First and foremost we’ll be sharing with the press and show attendees what Wargaming.net is all about – great games, close community, and epic experiences. We’ll have game stations in our booth for hands-on time, as well as representatives from our community team on-hand to chat about the games and help attendees learn more about them.
Q: What title are you showing at E3? Is there anything new you can tell us about the game?
A: This year we’re extremely excited to be showing off a lot of great things at our booth. We’ll have brand-new content for our game World of Tanks, particularly the first-time ever inclusion of some of the most iconic and powerful British tanks and armored vehicles into the game.
Secondly, we’ll be giving E3 attendees the first ever chance to play our upcoming free-to-play PC title World of Warplanes, which kicks off its closed beta on May 31st. We’re taking the strategic, addictive gameplay that players fell in love with from World of Tanks and putting those elements into the cockpit of some of the most iconic aircraft from the 1930s to the 1950s, complete with 15 vs. 15 dogfights.
Q: Do you have a release date yet? If not, will there be beta testing opportunities?
A: We currently haven’t announced a release date for World of Warplanes.
Q: Have you released any system requirements?
A: We haven’t announce any system requirements for World of Warplanes, but just like our previous title World of Tanks, we’re confident that no matter what your system specs are, you’ll be able to easily get into and enjoy the game.
Q: Is this a game that plays better on a high-end system like an Alienware?
A: While playable on most systems that have a decent video card, advanced play at high resolution is enhanced when played on high-end systems like Alienware.
