August 31st - September 2nd, 2012
What is PAX?
Next week the Alienware staff will be onsite in Seattle for PAX 2012! The Penny Arcade Expo started from humble beginnings back in 2004 and has since grown to become one of the largest gaming conventions in North America, drawing tens of thousands of attendees every year. Unlike the industry-only setup of E3, PAX has become one of the only places for the public to get their hands on, and experience, the insanity that is a game industry expo hall. With over a hundred thousand square feet of show floor and all genres, platforms and styles of games represented, this area makes for one of the highlights to the PAX experience.
We will be attending PAX in full force with our 50'x50' Arena booth where we'll have two competition pods in the center housing sixteen Alienware X51s so that PAX attendees can come up and throwdown for prizes and X51 raffle tickets.
To the sides of the stadium bleachers will be a variety of single player stations that anyone can walk up and play on. We'll be showing off new and pre-release titles such as Borderlands 2, Planetside 2 and XCOM, as well as special content and demos including a new League of Legends champ and Virtual Reality on our full line up of Alienware systems.
We also will be selling Alienware accessories and merchandise at our booth throughout the weekend! So if you really like one of our Alienware TactX accessories or would like your own Alienware tshirt or poster, definitely come check out our selection.
When we said that we'd be attending in full force, we definitely meant it. Anyone walking around on the exhibit floor will probably be no further than 30 feet from an Alienware system - regardless of where you stand. We are going to have a total of over 470 machines on the show floor! About two dozen are in our booth, the other 440+ will be spread out across the floor powering the booths and demos of some of your favorite or highly anticipated games.
Anyone looking to check out our hardware and get their hands on one of our systems certainly won't have to venture very far.
We will be livestreaming all the excitement happening at our booth on Saturday, Sept. 1st on Alienware Arena TwitchTV page. Full Saturday streaming schedule is listed at the bottom of this page and all times are for Seattle, Pacific Daylight Time.
