Windows 10 Game Mode moves to testing next week
Rumors about the so-called "Game mode" option for Windows 10 proved to be accurate, and true effects of Microsoft`s optimizing OS for gaming, we will see starting with next week. Namely, then with the new build in the Windows Insider program arrives and listed Game mode, which should improve the performance of games, it is assumed transfering unnecessary services into the second plan. How much will that really help the games to spin more stable, maybe even just with two or three-fps more, remains to be seen.
However, the good news is that Microsoft will not restrict the Game mode only for UWP applications or games from it`s own app store. From this use also should have the classic desktop or win32 games. Of course, if everything should work just by shutting down unnecessary things, it will not be something revolutionary for PC gamers as optimization tools such as that existed for some time. However, this will be the first time in the history of Windows that Microsoft has decided to give it`s users the specific adjustments option to the OS just for gaming, which in itself is already a step forward.
Game mode for all users of Windows 10 will become available within the Creators Update upgrade that comes for free this spring. From Creators updates will benefit also owners of Xbox One who will among other things get faster and easier access to the most important gaming functions - gameplay recording, browsing Achievement etc.
