GOG Galaxy from now will pay particular attention to your saved position
The option of storing the saved positions of the games in the cloud is quite useful because with it you do not have to worry whether your progress in the game is lost if something to your computer (or console) happens. This is the thing that lacks visible in a Switch console, this is the thing that is charged under the PS Plus subscription on PlayStation 4; and this is the thing which is partially available on Steam. The good news is because pile of PC games on GOG service soon will get that option for free.
GOG Galaxy client in its version 1.2 brings Universal Cloud Saves which will add to all the games the option of saving position on a cloud. Some restrictions will exist, but it will not be restrictions based on the age of the game. Games like Planescape: Torment, Heroes of Might and Magic III and Vampire: The Masquarade Bloodlines so for the first time is given the option to save positions over the internet. The same will apply to all new and old games on GOG Galaxy.
Galaxy version 1.2 is available now if you previously tested, but for everyone else it will be released into circulation next month. In addition to support for network-stored positions, the new version brings a fps-counter, screenshots capturing, the notification for the desktop, limiting the speed of network traffic and more.
