Recently Bandai Namco our attention received with a promotional video of the new game in which they well relied on Dark Souls franchise publishing that made them famous among the current generation of gamers. In an interview with Japanese magazine Famitsu they revealed more details, including the name of the game that is Code Vein.

From the various results we found out that this is a completely new IP, hardcore and challenging RPG game with exploration and dungeons. We'll play in the role of revenant, the race of the vampire with superhuman powers. Vampires are part of a community called Vein because when they transcend human existence they suffer from loss of memories, and those who do not reach to the blood they turn into monstrous beings called Lost.

The story is set in the near future, but we will use swords of various sizes, hammers and spears and special equipment in the form of armored clothing and masks that absorb the blood of fallen opponents. We will have access to various powers with which we`ll amplify with the absorbed blood or perhaps weaken opponents with the same, also emphasizes the "buddy" system of dungeon exploration and it seems that this friend will manage AI.

Making the game is team behind God Eater series, but they say that this is a completely separate project. It is being made in Unreal Engine 4 and currently is about 35% completed, it is enough that at the beginning of next month we might get the first real trailer. It`ll come out next year around the world for the console and potentially for other platforms, and the developers describe it`s genre as closely exploration linked areas on foot with a strong sense of achievement.

'Fear not the dark my friend, and let the feast begin.'

Disappointed that it isn't next From Software game, but the teaser looks so amazing.

At this point i dont know what to expect from Bandai. They have some good but also atrocious games. I guess we will have to wait and see some gameplay first.
